THESIS AND PAPER AWARDS
We are excited to open our first edition of VCQ Best Thesis and Best Paper awards.
The VCQ PhD Thesis and Best paper Awards annually honor two outstanding researchers from our community.
The prize recognizes excellence in research and encourages the awardees to pursue a further career in quantum science and technology. The prize money is €1500 each.
Application
To submit a Thesis or Paper please use the submission forms below to upload all the necessary documents
Submission Deadline for both awards is: January 31, 2026
The winners will be announced in early spring 2026.
The VCQ Best Thesis award is open to all scientists that had their PhD defence in the years 2024 or 2025.
Either the supervisor or a co-supervisor of the thesis can submit the application
The VCQ Best Paper award is open to all PhD students and / or postdocs within the VCQ community, meaning the author of the paper has to be affiliated within VCQ. Furthermore the author has to be one of the main contributors of the paper and the submitted paper should have been accepted for publication between January 2024 and December 31, 2025.
Best Paper submission can be made by the scientists themselves.
